The image to the left is part of a series submitted to an Ideas Competition by MassArt alum and adjunct faculty member Paul Paturzo (BFA, 1988). The competition called for a design for a non-denominational worship area in a non-descript site. Paturzo, principal of Paturzo Design in the South End in Boston, says “The proposal incorporates the organizing principles of reflection, procession and edge. Specifically the design offers a link between the secular and the spiritual through the use of plants that have religious significance.”
